Thomas Gutto, Ed.D., serves as Associate Vice Provost for Undergraduate Enrollment at Loyola Marymount University, where he is a member of the university’s enrollment management leadership team. In this role, he collaborates closely with the Vice Provost for Enrollment Management and partners across financial aid, marketing and communications, and academic and administrative units to shape and advance undergraduate enrollment strategy.

Tom oversees domestic and international recruitment and enrollment strategy for first-year and transfer students, with responsibility for aligning strategy, outreach, and implementation in support of the university’s enrollment goals. His work focuses on developing data-informed approaches that strengthen recruitment, support prospective students and families, and guide them from initial interest through enrollment at LMU.

He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the National Institute for the Study of Transfer Students (NISTS), the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), the Western Association for College Admission Counseling (WACAC), and the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admission Officers (AACRAO).

Tom was honored with the Bonita C. Jacobs Transfer Champion Rising Star Award (2016) from the National Institute for the Study of Transfer Students in recognition of his leadership in advancing transfer student access and success.

He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Arts in Counseling from Loyola Marymount University, and his Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Higher Education (Catholic Higher Education emphasis) from the Lynch School of Education and Human Development at Boston College.
